Ceska Miss 2012

PRAGUE, March 31 — 21-year old Tereza Chlebovska (center) was crowned Ceska Miss 2012 after being elected by the TV audience via SMS votes during the conclusion of the event held at the Karlin Musical Theatre.  173 cm tall Chlebovska will represent the Czech Republic at the 2012 Miss Universe pageant in December.

Elected Ceska Miss World by the panel of judges, was Linda Bartosova (left). She is 18 years old and stands 171 cm tall. She will compete at the Miss World 2012 pageant in Ordos, China, in August.

And Ceska Miss Earth is 22-year old Tereza Fajksová  (right), elected by readers of web portal Blesk.cz. She is 179 cm tall and will represent the country at the Miss Eart 2012 competition in October.

14 women competed in the 8th version of the Ceska Miss pageant which was born in 2005.

Miss Panama 2012

Stephanie Vander Werf (25), a TV presenter and restaurant manager from Panama City was crowned Miss Panama 2012during an event held at the Riu Plaza Panama on March 30th.  Vander Werf, who holds a degree in public relations, stands 177 cm and will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant in December.

Crowned as Miss World Panama was Maricely Gonzalez (23) who will compete in the Miss World pageant in Ordos, China; Gonzalez is a singer and student who stands 172 cm in height.

Miss International Panama is Karen Jordan, and Miss Earth Panama is Ana Lorena Ibañez.

Miss Austria 2012

Austria will try to conquer its 3rd Miss World crown later this year with Amina Dagi (photo center), crowned Miss Austria 2012 at the Casino Baden on March 30th. She hails from the state of Vorarlberg, stands 174 cm in height and is 17 years old.

Stefanie Steinmayr (left) was the 1st runner-up and Marisa Gerhardter (right) was the 2nd runner-up.

Miss Austria will compete with 120 plus other countries and territories for the 2012 Miss World title, in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China, on August 18.(Global Beauties)

Femina Miss India 2012

Vanya Mishra, from Chandigarh, a 19-year old student at PEC University of Technology was crowned Femina Miss India 2012during an event held in Mumbai on March 30th.  Vanya stands 171 cm tall and will represent India at the Miss World 2012pageant in Ordos, China, in August.

Prachi Mishrwa was crowned Femina Miss India Earth, and Rochelle Rao was crowned Femina Miss India International. They will compete in the Miss Earth and Miss International 2012 pageants respectively.

Sana Khan and Ipsita Pati completed the Top 5 finalists.

Ipsita Pati was the winner of the online poll, Vidhi Bhardwaj won the Beauty with a Purpose award.

20 contestants competed in the 49th edition of Femina Miss India. The evening was graced by Julia Morley, Chairperson of the Miss World Organisation and reigning Miss World Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colimenares.(Global Beauties)

Miss Earth Olga Alava arrives in Reunion

Reigning Miss Earth, Olga Alava from Ecuador, arrived in Reunion on Thursday to attend the Miss Earth Reunion Finals to be held April 1st.

The 24-year old beauty who speaks Spanish, English and Mandarin, talked to local media about her duties as Miss Eartn and her work preserving the environment, as well as her involvement with organizations dedicated to conservation of resources.

Her reign will also take her soon to Indonesia and Thailand.

Reunion, one of the overseas departments of France, is located in the Indian ocean.  Although officially part of France, the island will choose a contestant for this year’s Miss Earth competition to be held in October.  Reunion will also take part in this year’s Miss World pageant.(Global Beauties)
