The new Miss Tourism Queen Fernando de Noronha was crowned and she is Jeanine Castro, a model and television presenter. She was officially crowned in islands of Fernando de Noronha, one of the most stunning places in Brazil and in the world.
Jeanine will compete in Miss Tourism Queen International 2011, in Xi’an, China, on December 28.

Miss Earth Belgium 2011


Alien Decock, 22, 1.72m, was crowned Miss Earth Belgium 2011, edging out the other four 2011  ”super finalists” in her national pageant.
A student of Architecture, Decock believes that incorporating nature elements into her work will be something of great value.
Miss Earth Belgium also organizes workshop in jewelry design, making jewels out of recup material. She has her own website.

Romania wins Miss All Nations 2011


The Miss All Nations 2011 final event was held in the China Liberal Army Theatre, in Nanjing, China, and the winner was Miss Romania, Cristina-Elena David, 23. The 1st runner-up was Miss Siberia, and the 2nd runner-up was Miss China.
The semi-finalists were Misses Australia, Armenia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Korea, Netherlands, and Russia.

New Miss World to visit Venezuela in December


Ivian Sarcos, Miss World 2011, will be welcomed in her home country of Venezuela on December 3rd. She will arrive with members of the Miss World Organization, including Ms. Julia Morley.
Sarcos became Venezuela’s 6th Miss World.
‘Top 30′ officially recognized by Miss World Organization – Meanwhile, MWO has confirmed that the candidates who placed in the ‘top 30′ were quarter-finalists; the ones in the ‘top 15′ were semi-finalists; those who placed in the ‘top 7′ were this year’s finalists.(GB)

Miss Universe Malaysia 2012



18-year old Kimberly Legget was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2012. She will represent her country in Miss Universe 2012.
Kimberly stands 176 cm and is of British/Malay origin. Kimberly received the crown from the hands of Deborah Henry, who was a favorite in Sao Paulo earlier this year, but did not make the cut.(GB)

Guadalajara, Mexico, expected to host Miss Universe 2012

 
The “cuna of the mariachis”, the “perla tapatĂ­a”; the Mexican city of Guadalajara is expected to host the Miss Universe 2012 beauty pageant, after organizing, successfully, the Panamerican Games.  Local authorities have made public their desire of hosting this competition, and to put Guadalajara on the international map as a venue for major international events.
On their favor, they have last year’s winner Ximena Navarrete, who comes from this city.  The Mexican Tourism Board and the Government of the State of Jalisco would be the ones negotiating the venue.  The pageant would take place next summer at the spectacular Telmex Auditorium, which offers the latest in technology; Cancun was also mentioned as a place that would get promotion during the 3-week long event.
Guadalajara, the second largest city in Mexico with about 2 million habitants, is world-famous, with top notch tourism attractions and an impressive cultural legacy.
This would be the 5th time Mexico hosts the pageant; The first time was in 1978 (Acapulco), then 1989 (CancĂșn) and 1993 and 2007 (both in Mexico City).Sc : GB

TIANJIN, November 8 — The Miss Universe China 2012 competition was officially launched at the Radisson Hotel in Tianjin by organizer Yue Sai Kan on November 7th.
Sai Kan said that the contest has entered its preparatory phase and the provincial elections will begin in March of next year.  The final 30 contestants will be selected in May and will undergo intensive training, to prepare them for the national finals to be held in Shanghai in June.
Upon her victory, the winner will travel to the United States to be properly groomed for the Miss Universe 2012 pageant expected to be held in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Roseline Luo, reigning Miss Universe China and 4th runner-up at the Miss Universe 2011 contest was present at the event and among local celebrities, was awarded a recognition for her environmental work.  Ms. Sai Kan also received an award for being one of the most influential women in China.

Sai Kan added that
the current Miss Universe China contest in addition of promoting traditional Chinese culture, will also serve as a platform for new Chinese ambassadors abroad.
